History

Over forty years ago, Inlet Printing Company of Murrells Inlet opened its doors to the local creek rat customers of the inlet.

Previous owners, Art Collum and wife Derrick, owned Inlet Printing about 15 of those 40 years of operation. As business began to build and demands increased Art happily stepped to the plate to begin to mold the positive and dedicated reputation that still remains in the business practices today.

But as those demands increased and retirement encroached a close friend phoned Jimmy Bellamy of Coastal Printing in Shallotte, North Carolina to test the waters of interest in a joining of forces.

Jimmy was up for the challenge and eager to expand into a new territory. Thus, he partnered with Art for almost a year and printed his materials and delivered them back down on a weekly basis; until asked to purchase the printing company in 1996. So, in Jimmy Bellamy and family took over and shaped the Inlet printing and Company that we all know and appreciate today.

The office was relocated from the Marsh Walk area to a brand new 3,600-square-foot facility to U.S. Business 17 next to Merchant Tire.

The expansion of Inlet Printing has allowed their customers the ability to have four-color projects, large format printing, including publications, newsletters, magazines, and outdoor signage. The office is a great success as a result of hard work and its’ dedicated and award winning staff.

In past years, Inlet Printing has spread its wings and is now working with many customers outside the Murrells Inlet area- including a customer base ranging from (but not limited to) Charleston, Columbia, Florence on up to Little River. The printer offers FREE delivery for all of the Grand strand area.

With a mission to provide consistent, quality printed materials to all customers The Inlet Printing Company has been able to grow and hold a strong reputation in and around the community. The plan for the future is to continue working hard for our current customers, exploring new markets and cultivating relationships with new clients.
